Reading resources for teachers to engage, support, and inspire every reader.
Books That Work in Every Classroom
Many teachers search for effective reading resources to help meet literacy goals while reaching students whose reading abilities and interests span a wide range.
My Hi-Lo books and classroom reading resources make that goal achievable, helping every student experience success and rediscover the joy of reading.
Teaching Literacy in a Multi‑Level Classroom
The challenge of mixed reading levels does not appear all at once. It builds quietly, lesson by lesson, as some students move quickly through texts while others struggle to reach the second page. Teachers begin to notice the gap widening during group reading or discussion.
Advanced readers lose interest with repetitive material, and emerging readers quietly withdraw. Differentiation becomes a constant juggling act, and maintaining momentum for everyone starts to feel nearly impossible.
Without materials that engage all levels meaningfully, lessons can lose their spark. The excitement around reading fades, replaced by hesitation and frustration that spread through the classroom. Over time, even capable readers may disengage, while struggling readers start to believe that reading simply is not for them.

Reading Resources for Teachers
My classroom resources include Hi-Lo books, reading guides, and reading comprehension workbooks. The books are written at a grade 3.5–4 reading level (AR 3.5–4.0) but created to engage students ages 10 to 15.
Teachers can pair these books with reading guides that include thoughtful chapter questions designed to spark discussion. I am also developing reading comprehension workbooks that contain both fiction and nonfiction passages written at a grade 3.5 to 4 level but with high‑interest topics, helping students strengthen comprehension and fluency. Would you like a free sample? When you sign up for the newsletter you will receive a free mini-reading comprehension booklet. It includes 3 short stories and reading comprehension questions.
This is only the beginning. New reading resources for teachers are added every month, so sign up for my newsletter to stay informed about upcoming releases.

Meet the Author
Author and Literacy Coach
I’m a certified teacher who has specialized in literacy for more than 25 years. In that time, I’ve worked closely with families, spoken with countless parents, and listened to their concerns about children who struggle to read. Again and again, I saw the same frustration and heartbreak: kids who felt defeated by books and parents who felt helpless to change it.
After years of listening, I knew it was time to act. These books grew from that mission to offer stories that respect students’ age, reflect their interests, and rekindle a love of reading.
The Reading Success Collection
The Amiverse Chronicles is just the beginning. Each new release expands the collection of reading resources for teachers, giving classrooms fresh stories and skill‑building materials at accessible reading levels.
There will also soon be reading guides and comprehension books designed to support reading growth in the classroom and beyond.
The Amiverse Chronicles
Scorched, Book One of the Amiverse Chronicles, is being released in November 2025. Then over the following two months, book two and book three will be released.
Adventure and Fantasy Series
New fantasy and adventure series are on the way. Written at the grade 3.5–4 level, these stories are designed for students ages 10–15, combining engaging plots with accessible reading to build both excitement and confidence.
Student Reading Guide
Each book will include a student reading guide featuring comprehension questions and a word study section designed to keep readers engaged and to support their understanding of the story.
